When the end caps are machined, the clamping force is too large to easily cause deformation of the lid body, and reducing the clamping force will result in a reduction in the amount of cutting and thus reduce productivity. Therefore, in order to ensure the quality of processing and improve productivity, turning is divided into two processes: roughing and finishing.

● Use the right equipment

The small end caps are generally processed by multi-axis semi-automatic lathes, automatic hexagonal lathes or ordinary horizontal lathes, slightly larger end caps are machined by special machine tools or special machine tools; larger end caps are machined by ordinary vertical lathes, better The motor factory uses CNC machining.

End cap processing solution

There are many ways to process end caps. According to the difference in the number of fashion clips for the bearing chamber and the spigot, it can be divided into two kinds of processing schemes.

● The first processing plan

Bearing chambers and ports are machined in one setup. The basic steps are:

(1) Place the end cap on the claws of the machine to align the center and the end face.

(2) The rough bearing chamber, the bearing chamber end face, the wind deflector rider plane and the end stop.

(3) Slightly loosen the jaws, finish the car's mouth and face.

(4) Precision car bearing room.

(5) Drilling and tapping.

● The second processing plan

Bearing chambers and ports are machined in two clampings. The basic steps are:

(1) Place the end cap on the claws of the machine to align the center and the end face.

(2) The rough bearing chamber, bearing interior end face, and wind deflector rider plane.

(3) Roughing cars and fine cars.

(4) Place the end cap on the stop fitting and press it tightly.

(5) Finishing bearing room and bearing outdoor end face.

(6) Drilling and tapping.
