DC electric motor

A DC motor is a rotating machine that converts DC energy into mechanical energy, or converts mechanical energy into DC power. It is a motor that can convert DC energy and mechanical energy into one another. When it is used as an electric motor, it is a DC motor, which converts electric energy into mechanical energy. When the generator runs, it is a DC generator and converts mechanical energy into electrical energy.

The structure of DC motor should be composed of two parts: stator and rotor. The stationary part of the DC motor is called the stator. The main function of the stator is to produce a magnetic field. It consists of the base, the main pole, the Huan Xiangji, the end cover, the bearing and the brush device, etc.. Running is that part of the rotor, the main function is to generate the electromagnetic torque and the induced electromotive force of DC motor is the hub of energy conversion, so it is usually called the armature, composed of a rotating shaft, the armature core and armature winding and commutator and fan etc.

Main classification

DC generator: a machine that converts mechanical energy into direct current energy. It is mainly used as DC motor and electrolysis,

DC motor needed for electroplating, electric smelting, charging and excitation power supply of AC generator. Although the DC power is needed, the power rectifier component is used to convert the alternating current into the direct current. However, from some aspects of the performance, AC rectifier power can not completely replace the DC generator.

DC motor: a rotating device that converts DC energy into mechanical energy. The stator of the motor provides a magnetic field, and the DC power supplies current to the rotor windings. The commutator keeps the rotor current and the torque produced by the magnetic field unchanged. The DC motor can be divided into two types according to whether the brush commutator is commonly used, including brush DC motor and brushless DC motor.

Brushless DC motor is developed in recent years with the development of microprocessor technology and high switching frequency,

A new type of DC motor developed with low power consumption, the application of new power electronic devices, the optimization of control methods and the emergence of low cost and high magnetic energy permanent magnet materials.

Brushless DC motor speed control performance while maintaining the traditional DC motor good and has no sliding contact and commutation spark, high reliability, long service life and low noise advantages, so in terms of aerospace, CNC machine tools, robots, electric vehicles, computer peripheral equipment and household appliances are widely used.

In accordance with the power supply mode, brushless DC motor can be divided into two categories: square wave brushless DC motor, the back EMF waveform and the power supply current waveform is square wave, also known as rectangular permanent magnet synchronous motor; sine wave brushless DC motor, the back EMF waveform and the current waveform is sine wave power supply.
